Study Notes

Study notes!

Multiples, factors and primes.

Multiples

What is a multiple?

       - numbers that can be multiplied many times without a remainder.

(11 x 1 = 11, 11 x 2 = 22, 11 x 3 = 33 etc..)

N O T :                                                                                         M U L T I P L E :

7 ÷ 8 = 0.875                                                                      20 = 2, 4, 5 etc

Factors

What is a factor?

       - A factor is the numbers that lead to the answer

       - the Equation

A Factor = 4 x 10 = 40

40 is the multiple

4 and 10 are the factors of 40

Prime Numbers

What are prime numbers?

-A prime number is a number that can only be multiplied by itself or 1!

Anime Recommendations: K-On! Season 1

K-ON is about 5 high school girls who become friends through the Light Music Club. Yui the lead guitarist, Tsumugi the keyboardist, Mio the bassist, Azusa the rhythm guitarist, and Ritsu the drummer. K-ON is the story of 5 aspiring musicians and their journey through high school together.

Story: 8
The story for K-On! is well written, but it is overshadowed by how slow the pacing is for this anime.

Characters: 9
Each band member were a great character with a nice chemistry with the cast.

Soundtrack: 10
Being a music anime, K-On! exceeded my expectations with catchy and up beat tracks that are soon to be added to my playlist.

Voice Acting: 9
The voice acting in K-On! was nicely done with each voice suiting their character

Animation: 10
The animation was incredibly fluid and it deserves to have a ten

Enjoyment: 8
Watching K-On at 1:00 am definitely boosted its score since watching anime late at night boosts its enjoy-ability

Ending: 8
The ending for K-On was a jam with the band performing its original songs which have the greatest titles: "Fude Pen Boru Pen (Brush,Ball Point Pen)" and "Fuwa Fuwa Time (Fluffy Time)" And the second season is yet to be watch by me.

Waifus :9
Some of the waifus in this anime are top tier examples are, Azusa Nakano and Mio Akiyama

OP: 10
ED:10
The opening and ending songs were incredibly produced, and it will definitely make your head bop. And the both deserve the prestigious rating 10.

And the best waifu award goes to... Mio Akiyama!!!

Tally:
K-On! Gets a high rating of 91/100

The Fly

WALT: Communicate the theme of the text via static image

This week and last week we did answered a slide which concerns the text The Fly by Katherine Mansfield. The story is about a unnamed person named "The Boss" whose son died in WWI. He sees a fly trapped in his ink pot and repeatedly takes it in and out, until it died, like a soldier in war.

WALT: Work on solution in logical, step by step order

Last week we did a DMIC maths problem concerning probability.

DNA NOTES

Date: Day after Guy Fawkes

LEGEND: Dna, chro (chromosome), nuke (nucleus) genes

INTRO:
Are Dna, chro and genes related?

We, plants and animals are made of Trillions cells
You can only see cells with a microscope
The nucleus is the brain
Each chromosome contain different DNA
Humans have 23 pairs of chro’s
Chromosomes are made out of DNA
Each DNA base is made out of A T C G
The chro is in the nuke, and the nuke is in the cell
Only C and G, T and A, G and C fit together due to their shape
Codon = Word
Gene = Chapter
Chromosome = Book
When a sequence of of 3 protein bases is like a word = Codon
Then when 5 or thousands are like a chapter = gene
If you have more genes you can read it properly.
2(+) genes = chromosome
Genes made out of codon
Codons made out of Nucleotides (Bases) (A T G C)

TRACKING MY LEARNING (FINISHED)

Last term in room 4, our inquiry was about genomics. We had to fill out a slide with our learning. This is my whole terms learning

Cheek Cells

Today in Room 4 we are studying cheek cells through the microscope in our class.

Our hypothesis: Our hypothesies is that by looking through the microscope we will see cells and organelles.

There are our equipment: we had a lollypop stick to swab lepa's mouth for the cheek cells, A slide to put the cells in, sodium chloride to make our cells more "slippery"

It was fun.
